Wonderful waterproof ink! I am using in my Lamy Joy fountain pens for sketching (under watercolour washes).
Writes/draws very smoothly, and I have had no problems with it clogging my nibs or not starting easily. Thanks Write Gear for importing it!

Not the blackest black I’ve tried but solid with no undertones or greyness to it; utterly neutral in tone with zero shading. When dried it has an almost satin-like look to it. I think it is the complete lack of shading which gives this ink its reputation for blackness.
Dries quickly and almost perfectly water-proof on most papers, it doesn’t really feather on bad papers in the spiky/fractal way most inks do but just spreads out a bit, as if writing with a felt-tip fine-liner. A moderately ‘wet’ ink and very smooth to write with.
For the past few months I’ve been using it a Preppy with no issues and now have it in a Procyon. I would not use this in a pen that doesn’t seal properly or cannot be dismantled for cleaning.

This is probably the best Black ink on the market. I’m an artist and I rely heavily on having a good, reliable water proof black ink. The platinum Carbon Black ink has been my go-to-ink for years now and it’s never let me down. When using this ink on 100% cotton watercolor paper it’s completely waterproof(when left to dry for a few minutes) and it produces beautiful consistent black lines with any pen. Be warned though, since this is a pigmented ink it can clog some pens, especially pens with bad seals (I’m looking at you Jinhao) I’ve never had this happen with any of my Platinum, TWSBI or Caran D’ache pens though.
In short: You will not regret buying this ink, it is absolutely wonderful!

The perfect permanent black ink. It is velvety, dries quick, has a surprise gleam to it and I get to use water based inks or water colour paints over sketches.

Jamie, thanks for recommending this ink! Nice juicy black ink. But more importantly, it is really waterproof! Just what I needed for my urban sketching and watercolour sketches. Works beautifully on my Safari Vista with EF nib. Highly recommended if you are after a waterproof ink!

Hands down the best ink. It’s fast drying and waterproof. The application is smooth. It doesn’t clog or struggle to start. I use it in my Lamy Safari fountain pen for drawing and writing.Â

Great ink with fast dry time. Writes slightly wet with a fine nib. The only gripes being the very small amounts of bleed through and feathering on bad paper.
All in all, great ink for writing and using on a daily basis.

A richly saturated black ink. It is perfect for using at the office. It withstands highlighters with zero smudging and is generally a great ink to use.
If you need an excellent document proof ink, there are very few better choices.

Agree with “marcs” – “not the blackest black”, but still dark enough for my use. Also, I’ve used it on a range of papers (including standard photocopy stock) and had zero issues with feathering, etc.
Using it in a Pilot Metropolitan for now with a medium nib and it’s very smooth to write with. Haven’t tested the water-proofing qualities as yet but all the Reviewer comments are strong in this regard.
