Roses are Out! Origami is in!

Roses are out. Origami is in!

Anyone can go to the local grocery store or florist and buy a bunch of roses. As far as romantic gestures go, store bought roses are about as romantic as buying a bunch of carrots. Although unmistakably more beautiful.

Unless of course you cultivated the roses in your garden. Then you’re winning! And in which case ignore the above but keep reading because we’re going to show you a quicker yet still therapeutic and rewarding way to get your roses.

As stationery enthusiasts, you’re bound to have scrap pieces of paper lying around your desk, car, bag, kitchen, jeans pocket . . . well you get the point. That’s all you’re going to need for this. You could use a brand new piece of paper (always nice) but this origami flower can be made with any piece of paper that can be cut into a square.

Things you’ll need:

  1. A square piece of paper (10cm x 10cm or bigger is recommended)
  2. . . . thats it!

Time: +/- 5 mins

Optional extras:

  1. Ink to do some decorating.
  2. A loved one to give your creation to.

Let’s get started. Follow these steps and you’ll be knocking the socks off your loved ones this Valentine’s Day in no time!
