This is a great pen. I have it in silver and black.I think those are the best looking colour options for this pen.
They are well built and feel great in the hand. I prefer the handling to that of the Lamy Safari that I have.
I also have a Sheaffer VFM. The Pilot can take bigger cartridges which is advantage. The Pilot uses metal threads between the section and back of the pen which is better as well.
If you like a thinner pen then the Sheaffer is the better option (another option would be a Parker Jotter).
Overall though I think this is my favorite pen in this price range.

Super pen, solid value for money, considering that it comes with the standard converter and a cartridge.
This Pilot writes very smoothly (in fact it rivals much more expensive pens like a Cross Century that I used to think was my best writer), and I use mine with Pilot Iroshizuku Asa-Gao, both pen and ink being bought from Writegear. Superb service and good products!

Wasn’t sure what to expect other than an ‘above average’. Was pleasantly surprised – the pen writes well. Would have preferred a fine nib, but only medium was available. Glad to have discovered that it is a relatively fine medium so quite happy with it.
