Pilot Iroshizuku Ink Bottle – Fuyu-Gaki (Deep Orange)
The name Iroshizuku came about by the pairing of the Japanese words Iro (colouring), expressing high standards and variations of colours, and Shizuku (Droplet), that illustrates the image of dripping water. Each ink name comes from beautiful Japanese landscapes and plants.
fuyu-gaki Winter Persimmon (Deep Orange)
The colour of the persimmon has been used for many years in Japan since around the late Heian period (AD 794-1185). This shade of orange reflects a gorgeously ripe persimmon.

I love the Pilot colours – they are so subtle and they change according to nib size or brush or fibre-tip. Fuyu-gaki is very similar in hue to other orange-red inks, but the shading is more pronounced and the pale shade is lighter. On cream or off-white papers the pale shade looks pink rather than orange. There is just a hint of gold sheen. Perfect for broad italic nibs. I like it very much
