Graf von Faber-Castell Ink Bottle – Moss Green
Moss Green is one of the Graf von Faber-Castell ink colors which are inspired by nature. The inks are crafted with the highest quality ingredients and bottled in a beautiful 75ml glass bottle, the bottle has a neck wide enough to fit even your thick Fountain Pens when inking. Each of the Graf von Faber-Castell inks are 100% Document proof meaning they are smudge proof, waterproof, light-fast, cannot be erased and resistant to many chemicals and solvents. This ink in particular is one of some interesting greens, it has some red sheen and shows some shading depending on the type of paper and pen in use. Try it on some of the TWSBI and Rhodia books which we stock for a quality writing experience.

Deeply saturated green that flows beautifully and shades wickedly from green apple to black in an F or EF nib. In an M nib, it’s dark and decadent, with an occasional red sheen.
That said, it’s not quite my colour. There’s something smug and aristocratic about it, and everything I write with it seems a little too serious. I’m looking to splurge on at least one premium ink in a beautiful bottle, but this will not be it. I think Pilot’s Iroshizuku range, with its more nuanced colours, is more my style.

The whole Graf von Faber-Castell range of inks is really wonderful. They make great every day use inks that can withstand the use of highlighters and once dry don’t smudge as some other inks do.
The Carbon Black is not as rich as some other blacks but it is saturated. The drying time is a bit longer than ideal, but is does dry quick enough.
A really great every day use ink to use at the office.

An amendment to my earlier review. That was meant for the Carbon Black.
The Moss Green is lovely and rich. It looks great and is superb to use. Sadly it is not water proof, even though it does dry quite quickly. So avoid using highlighters on it.
