Diamine Fountain Pen Ink – Royal Blue
Originating in the 1800’s, Diamine Ink has a long history and has been developed into one of the finest quality fountain pen inks on the market. It’s reliability has lead it to become one of the most sought after inks by both professionals and beginners. This Diamine Royal Blue Ink is suitable for any brand of fountain pens, making it a convenient purchase too. It is a water-based non-toxic ink, making it a safe option for vintage pens in particular. The bright royal blue colour of this ink is not overly saturated and thus has a beautiful vibrancy to it. It is also versatile in the sense that it has the ability to be easily mixed with other colour inks and create new colours. This Diamine ink also has anti-clogging properties, ensuring even and smooth precision across paper.

A great everyday blue, basically my standard ink I like to test new pens with.
The best thing about this ink is how long you can leave a pen uncapped it doesn’t dry in the nib. I haven’t managed to find another ink as good as this one in this respect.
Wetness is middle of the road and it can be used on poor quality paper as long as your pen isn’t crazy wet.

My first ink!
This is a bright, pleasant-on-the-eyes blue. This is really my go-to colour for most of my writing.
Very well behaved ink in both my Pilot MR with M nib and my Lamy Safari with M nib on both 80gsm copy paper and black hardcover notebooks. There is no feathering and the ink dries quite fast.

This is a true royal blue. The ink flows well from various of my pens and does not feather on standard paper. This is one of my main criteria for a regular writing ink. I can thus recommend it as such.
