Diamine Fountain Pen Ink – Oxblood
Originating in the 1800’s, Diamine Ink has a long history and has been developed into one of the finest quality fountain pen inks on the market. It’s reliability has lead it to become one of the most sought after inks by both professionals and beginners. This Diamine Oxblood Ink is suitable for any brand of fountain pens, making it a convenient purchase too. It is a water-based non-toxic ink, making it a safe option for vintage pens in particular. The rich oxblood colour of this ink is not overly saturated and thus has a beautiful depth to it. It is also versatile in the sense that it has the ability to be easily mixed with other colour inks and create new colours. This Diamine ink also has anti-clogging properties, ensuring even and smooth precision across paper.

Stunning ink.
A favourite feature of this ink is how the colour changes from paper to paper. (I write with a Lamy Medium nib.)
My Paper-Oh notebook is where this ink really shines. The less absorbent paper allows for some subtle shading. The colour dries with a lovely, deep, purple tone to it.
On my Moleskine paper is dries to a more burgundy/classic oxblood colour. On this absorbent paper there is little to no shading, some show-through, and occasional minor bleed-through.
Note: If you’re replacing Kaweco ink with this one, I suggest properly rinsing your pen first. I had minor blockage issues when these two inks mixed. These were completely solved with a rinsing.

Dried blood is the best way to describe it, dark red with very visible brown undertones.

Using this ink in one of my platinum preppy’s; great ink not unlike the montegrappa bordeaux.

I’ve always got one pen inked up with this lovely ink. The dark red really stands out on the page and gives your words another level of impact with it’s blood-like colour. It flows beautifully and cleans out really well. An easy 5 stars from me.
