It is a water-based non-toxic ink, making it a safe option for vintage pens in particular. The Mediterranean blue colour of this ink is not overly saturated and thus has a beautiful depth to it. A beautiful blue ink, more than your standard royal blue. It makes you think of the sea from a tropical island beach. Using previously Parker blue as the industry standard for comparison this elevates the color to a whole new level. I am astounded at how beautiful the color comes alive on the paper. I would recommend it highly !

Much, much more vibrant than the swatch on this listing indicates. It’s an intensely saturated blue. I love it for it’s vibrancy despite not having any idea yet how i’ll incorporate it into a painting. One of those colours that you just love looking at but it doesn’t necessarily play well with other colours in a composition.
Tip: You can mix the most beautiful vibrant green ink by combining a 1-2 drops of this with 1-2ml of Diamine Yellow.
