Diamine Fountain Pen Ink – Earl Grey
Originating in the 1800’s, Diamine Ink has a long history and has been developed into one of the finest quality fountain pen inks on the market. It’s reliability has lead it to become one of the most sought after inks by both professionals and beginners. This Diamine Earl Grey ink is suitable for any brand of fountain pens, making it a convenient purchase too. It is a water-based non-toxic ink, making it a safe option for vintage pens in particular. The Earl Grey colour of this ink is not overly saturated and thus has a beautiful depth to it. It is also versatile in the sense that it has the ability to be easily mixed with other colour inks and create new colours. This Diamine ink also has anti-clogging properties, ensuring even and smooth precision across paper.

This is the only grey ink I own. The name belies the colour; it is much darker than one would expect. The ink shows some nice shading, taking away the image of little grey men in little grey offices. The colour is vibrant, with some purple undertones and shading. And perhaps some sheen on some papers. Definitely not an ink for little grey men in little grey offices.

Lovely dark grey with shading that shows with longer bolder strokes. Just bear in mind that it seems to have quite a bit of feathering, even with EF nibs.

Absolutely love this grey. Definite undertones of blue/purple. Works great on Tomoe river paper even with a medium nib. No bleeding or feathering.
