Caran d’Ache Fixpencil – Black Button
The origin of this Caran d’Ache Fixpencil ® dates all the way back to 1929 when it was invented by an engineer in Geneva. Caran d’Ache introduced it to the market only one year later. The pencil gained much attention and was nothing short of a massive international success. The main reason behind the Fixpencil’s success is due to being the world’s first mechanical pencil. It was entirely metallic, and included both a clutch mechanism and sharpener in the push button. This pencil is indeed the “father of pencils”.
With such a prestigious history, this pencil is sure to be of top quality. This beautiful collector’s item has been modernised and engineered in Switzerland. It is lightweight, composed of aluminium. The hexagonal body allows for easy grip and supreme comfort. Its handy incorporated lead sharpener still exists in the push button. 2.0mm lead is included with the purchase of the pen, however additional lead options can be found here. This specific pencil comes with a black push button, but is also available through our website with a blue button or red button to suit your taste. It is perfect for regular use and can be easily clipped onto your pocket for quick access.

Great Pencil.
Light and comfortable to hold.
Only issue I have is that the cap on the back isn’t a tight fit. Though it hasn’t happened to me yet I feel that it’s only a matter of time before I loose the cap. There’s little chance that the cap could fall off on it’s own but could easily get worked off if it was in a bag or pocket.
