This pen is of a small to medium size configuration which barely suits my large hands. However, the writing experience is on a par with much more expensive pens. I find that, in spite of the size of the pen, I am still able to write for extended periods without getting writer’s cramp. My pen has an M-size nib which suits my usual writing style very well. The pen works well with all everyday inks in my collection. I have not tried any of the shimmer inks, though.
The pen is made out of a sturdy acrylic which belies the first glance looks. This is really a pen for everyday use. The out of the box nib performance is superb and the nib did not need any adjustment to write smoothly. My pen is in the 70’s Soul colour scheme, which really drew my attention. The other colour choices are also quite stylish, with a subdued elegance. Write Gear also stock converters, which allows the choice of bottled inks, rather than the limited colour spectrum of cartridges.
This is one of the better value-for-money pens. A very good upgrade from a beginner’s pen.
