Jinhao X450 – Black and Gold
The Jinhao X450 Fountain Pen offers unbelievable quality at a very reasonable price point
This pen is great for beginners and enthusiasts alike, with a smooth and wet nib, and an exciting visual style. It is a two-tone gold and silver nib, which beautifully matches the accents on the pen.
The pen has an elegant shape, and is also comfortably heavy. The clip features attractive detail, as well as being nice and tight.
The cap simply pulls off, making this a great pen to pull out of your coat for a quick note. Holding the X450 is very comfortable, as it has a triangular grip section.
Another great feature of the X450 is that it ships with a converter. This means it is ready to be used with bottled ink straight away. Diamine inks pair with these pens really well, and we have plenty of colours available.
Additionally, if you prefer cartridges to bottled ink, this pen is compatible with International Standard cartridges. This means it will fit cartridges made by Diamine, Kaweco, J. Herbin, Pelikan, Montegrappa, and many others.

Not a bad pen but not a great one either. Nice entry level fountain pen for a great price. Solid construction and has a nice weight. Writes fairly smooth without any skipping.

A very affordable entry-level pen. Looks like a Montblanc Meisterstück 149 Fountain Pen. Writes even better than the (sadly fake) Montblanc Meisterstück 149 Fountain Pen that I received as a gift.
Writes very nicely for the price. At this price point, I use it as an everyday pen as I am not too worried if I lose the pen or drop it as it can be affordably replaced.

I’d say that for the price, these are excellent pens – nice weight and smooth. I’ve pretty much only used Diamine inks and they perform well. So far – cannot complain about construction and finish.
