Radiant pure pitch black. Very easy flowing. It dries with a very consistent shade.

This is a lovely black ink. I’ve used it in most of my fountain pens, and it flows well and writes well. Diamine tend to make good quality, affordable inks and this one is no exception. Black ink, while somewhat pedestrian, is a staple for me both at work, and at home. The speed with which this Diamine black ink becomes sold out says all that needs to be said.

Nice jet black ink good for most everyday writing use. Great value for money, as is the case for the entire range of Diamine used so far.

This is a very nice deep black ink. It is not the wettest Diamine ink I have used I would say it is basically middle of the road.
I have not found much shading with this ink.
My only gripe with this ink is that if you leave the cap off your pen for a couple of minutes I find it kind of dries in the nib and it is a bit of a pain to restart. This has happened with a host of different pens and nib sizes. It isn’t a deal breaker though.
Overall a great ink at a great price.

Run of the mill black ink. Quite saturated color. A low maintenance ink. Used it to make my university notes during my second year. Great everyday ink if you want a black everyday ink.

Nice flat black ink that is on the drier side of the spectrum.
I noticed that when cleaning the ink has nice purple undertones.
Not a problem but i did notice that the ink stained the converter that I used for it.

I wanted a proper dark black and found this one. It has a purple tint, but less so than some of the other inks that pass as black. The ink writes wet and dark, so be careful of smudging. Otherwise one of my favourite black inks.

A wonderful pitch black ink that works like a dream for day to day writings. The Diamine range provides great inks with great value for money. A solid buy and easily recommendable to any fountain pen enthusiast

Beautiful pitch black ink, exactly what I needed. It will look imposing next to colour inks, except for the deepest ones, but on its own, it adds a beautiful gravity to the writing (and the signatures!)
