Diamine Fountain Pen Ink – Asa Blue
Originating in the 1800’s, Diamine Ink has a long history and has been developed into one of the finest quality fountain pen inks on the market. It’s reliability has lead it to become one of the most sought after inks by both professionals and beginners. This Diamine Asa Blue Ink is suitable for any brand of fountain pens, making it a convenient purchase too. It is a water-based non-toxic ink, making it a safe option for vintage pens in particular. The bright Asa Blue colour of this ink is not overly saturated and thus has a beautiful vibrancy to it. It is also versatile in the sense that it has the ability to be easily mixed with other colour inks and create new colours. This Diamine ink also has anti-clogging properties, ensuring even and smooth precision across paper.

Received a sample of this as a gift with my TWSBI diamond fountain pen and immediately filled my pen with it. A beautiful happy holiday blue. Thank you WriteGear

This is the blue I’ve been looking for. Not as purple as the royal blues, not as dark as the blue blacks and not as green as some of the turquoises.

Instant favourite. This richly saturated blue pops, shades, sheens. It’s dark enough to use at work, but has enough gorgeous character to please in a personal context. One evening on a written paged under lamplight, it looked like the red sheen had taken over and given the ink a purple hue. I thought this might be because of the smooth paper I’d used, but in daylight it looked blue again. I love that an ink can have these unexpected qualities. Asa Blue flows very wet, so it’s ideal for F and EF nibs.

One of my favourite blue colours and was recommended to me by a WriteGear staff member, and what a great recommendation it was. This is gorgeous. Whenever I look at my writing pages that I wrote with this colour, I can’t stop admiring it’s qualities. I’m not partial to blue ink, but this one is great! I don’t use this ink at work though, as I see this as more of a fun, bright blue. I like the sheening of the ink too and the way it pops on paper.
