TWSBI ECO T Fountain Pen – Clear
A relatively new release, the TWSBI ECO Fountain Pen has become a staple for many a fountain pen users since it first became available in 2015. ECO is short for “Economical”, and this pen is a prime example of value for money. TWSBI took input from the fountain pen community, specifically to create an affordable pen with premium performance and features. The result is a simple, yet extremely effective workhorse pen that’s great for not only beginners, but more experienced users too.
With a perfectly cylindrical, clear body, and a distinctive triangular cap and piston knob, this pen has an unmistakable design. As a piston filler, it has a truly massive ink capacity. This pen will keep going for pages on end, especially with a finer nib. The piston filler may seem intimidating to those unfamiliar, but it is as easy to use as a converter. Simply dip it into the ink and turn the knob.
It fits comfortably in the hand, and it posts securely and comfortably.
TWSBI encourages user maintenance, with the ECO being easy to take apart, clean, and put back together.
The pen comes in a plastic gift box with instructions in addition to a plastic wrench and silicone grease.

I used to be a big Lamy fan but this pen is amazing. The extra fine nib makes such a thin line and the transparent barrel makes your ink look amazing.

Got me very convinced that I found a new favourite fountain pen after many many years of endless Parkers, Cross and Waterman. Convenient to not need cartridges and converter. Comes with its own kit and storage box. Tempted to get a second one just because it writes and showcase my inks so well!

This is an excellent pen, great quality, feels solid in the hand and it writes very well. I purchased the M nib and its great. Its easy to fill and the ink capacity is such a great help. Beats the constant refilling on my Lamy Vista with the Z28 converter. The initial ink fill was a bit of a struggle. The piston was getting stuck and there was a lot of pressure when twisting the rod to fill. Luckily TWSBI pens are user serviceable and they come with grease and a disassembly tool. Drained the ink, flushed the barrel and greased the o- rings. Filled ink again and all good to go. I will try a TWSBI F Nib next as I find on some paper the Medium line can be a bit broad.
