Rohrer & Klingner Ink – Fernambuk (Pernambuco)
Rohrer & Klingner continues its long tradition in producing inks with this assortment which also includes ferro-gallic inks.
In addition to the classic colors, there are now new colour tones which were developed specifically with calligraphy in mind. Rohrer’s writing inks are perfect for fountain pens, steel nibbed pens, dip pens and other writing utensils which are used in calligraphy. Pleasant, high-quality dyes which are processed into the individual tones reveal a balanced intensity of colors in addition to the high brilliance in the ink.

This brand has now become my favourite. You know when you discover something and you do not want to talk about it too much because you want to keep it for yourself – but then it’s too good not to share? This is that kinda brand. This colour is hard to describe. Which is how I like my inks. If you can think up a flamingo, meditate on that image for a moment – get to what a flamingo ACTUALLY looks like – not the derivatives that we are being confronted with always, cartoons and wall paper. Think about the actual live bird. Also think of cooked prawns, the shell in particular. Not pink, not coral, not red. Exceptional.
