More of a grey-black than a black. The ink works well in a Kaweco fine nib, but I found it to be a little too wet in a medium Lamy nib as it feathered on copy paper. Not a very interesting ink and I would much rather get something which is actually black.

Not a true black, more a grayish black that shows quite easily if the flow is a bit on the light side. It struggles to find a place of comfort where it shines. An average ink, rather consider the Diamine Onyx or Jet black for a deeper black color.

I looked around for a very specific black grey and came across this ink on Mountain of Ink. It looked exactly like what I had in mind, so I ordered it from WG. Got it, inked it, and wrote with it, and it is exactly what I wanted! Great ink, if you know what to expect.
